Rachelle Whitaker, MA, LPC
Since earning my Master of Arts in Counseling from Oakland University in 2016, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals through life’s challenges with transparency, empathy, and personalized care. For four years, I worked in a Community Mental Health outpatient program, providing therapy to clients with diverse diagnoses, including Major Depressive Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder.
Over the past three years, I have transitioned into private practice, where I specialize in working with adults facing depression, anxiety, stress, and relationship concerns. I firmly believe that therapy should be a space where you feel truly seen and heard. My approach is Person-Centered, meaning our time together is focused entirely on you—your experiences, your struggles, and your growth.
As we explore both current challenges and past experiences, I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) techniques to offer practical skills that deepen self-awareness and foster meaningful change. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work because I know that when you can relate to your therapist, sharing even the deepest concerns becomes easier.
If you’re ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing, I’m here to support you every step of the way.
