Giesken Counseling Services is a collaborative outpatient mental health practice serving children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families across Genesee and Oakland counties. Position Summary

We are seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) to provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services. This role emphasizes diagnostic expertise, collaborative treatment planning, and continuity of care within an established outpatient therapy setting.

The ideal candidate values autonomy, clinical integrity, and interdisciplinary collaboration while maintaining a patient-centered approach to psychiatric care.  

Location

Primary location: Flint Township, MI, with opportunities available in Grand Blanc and Clarkston. Hybrid remote flexibility available.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations across the lifespan

• Provide ongoing medication management and follow-up care

• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans

• Collaborate with therapists to ensure coordinated, integrated care

• Monitor and manage Schedule II–V medications in accordance with Michigan regulations

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation within the EMR

• Maintain active Malpractice Insurance

• Provide services via both in-person and secure telehealth platforms

Qualifications

• MSN, DNP, or PhD from an accredited program

• PMHNP-BC certification (ANCC required)

• Active Michigan RN and APRN licensure

• Active DEA registration

• Must maintain active professional liability insurance (malpractice insurance)

• 2+ Years as a PMHNP preferred

• Proficiency with EMR systems, telehealth platforms, and e-prescribing

Schedule

Monday–Thursday schedule

Full-time position with hybrid flexibility
