Joleen Beagle, LMSW
I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology/Sociology from Central Michigan University and obtained a Master of Clinical Social Work from Michigan State University. For over 29 years, I have worked in the Human Services field in various settings, with a majority in Child Welfare and Mental Health.
My therapeutic approach is integrative, trauma-informed, and humanistic, utilizing a range of tools and skills drawn from Holistic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Somatic Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I specialize in trauma work, be it single-incident trauma, chronic ongoing traumatic events, or complex childhood trauma.
I understand that processing trauma cannot be achieved through talking or thinking alone, but must include the body. Therefore, I emphasize self-awareness and mindfulness, and believe that an authentic and collaborative relationship with my clients is crucial to achieving their goals.
