Laurie Maxwell, LMSW
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work from Michigan State University, where I specialized in clinical practice, and an undergraduate degree in Counseling Psychology from Rochester College. With over 16 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with teens, adults, and families across a wide range of settings. My clinical focus includes supporting individuals navigating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, and major life transitions.
At the heart of my practice is a deep commitment to helping teen girls and women discover their inner resilience and develop meaningful strategies for growth. I believe therapy should be a collaborative and empowering experience—one where clients feel seen, heard, and supported without judgment. My approach blends evidence-based techniques with genuine compassion, creating a space where healing and self-discovery can unfold.
Whether you're facing a difficult season or seeking clarity and confidence in your next steps, I’m here to walk alongside you with warmth, insight, and unwavering support.
"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference." Robert Frost
