Katie Bailey, MSN, PMHNP-BC
My name is Katie Bailey, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor and began my nursing career in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. There, I cared for children of all ages who were facing life-threatening illnesses and challenges. During this time, I discovered my passion for mental health and for helping patients and their families navigate these difficult moments.
This passion led me to a position in the inpatient child and adolescent mental health unit, where I worked closely with children, adolescents, and their families. Together, we focused on developing coping strategies, life skills, medication management, symptom management, and more. I cherished this experience and felt that I had found my true calling as a nurse.
Eager to continue my professional growth, I decided to pursue further education and became a Nurse Practitioner. I attended Wayne State University, where I earned my Master of Science in Nursing and became a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
In my role as a Nurse Practitioner, I work with patients of all ages, assisting them through some of the most challenging times in their lives. I am particularly passionate about supporting children, teens, adolescents, and their families, while also helping adults who are facing mental health challenges. I look forward to caring for you and your loved ones!
