Julia Cherrone, DNP, PMHNP-BC
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I understand that seeking help for mental health can feel overwhelming. My goal is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and supported as we work together to navigate life's challenges. My approach is rooted in compassion and collaboration, empowering you to make the best decisions for yourself and your family regarding mental healthcare. I believe in taking the time to truly understand your story and working alongside you to find a treatment plan that promotes healing and long-term resilience. I often integrate therapeutic strategies into medication management because healing involves more than just prescriptions; it is about connection, growth, and reclaiming your sense of self.
I earned my Doctorate in Nursing Practice from the University of Michigan with a focus on psychiatric care and hold national board certification as a PMHNP. My clinical background spans outpatient mental health care for children, adolescents, and adults, and I have worked with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, ADHD, ODD, and autism.
"I know. It's all wrong. By rights we shouldn't even be here. But we are...It’s like in the great stories, Mr. Frodo. The ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were. And sometimes you didn’t want to know the end. Because how could the end be happy?... But in the end, it's only a passing thing, this shadow. Even darkness must pass. A new day will come. And when the sun shines it will shine out the clearer…."
