Amanda Burleson, MA, LPC, NCC
Sometimes life can feel overwhelming—like everything is piling up faster than you can make sense of it. Whether you’re navigating a specific life challenge or sensing it’s time for change, working with a therapist can provide the support and clarity needed to move forward. If you’ve been searching for supportive counseling services, you’re in the right place.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Master’s degree in Counseling from Ball State University, earned in 2008. With over 18 years of experience providing mental health counseling in community mental health, home-based services, college and university counseling centers, and private practice, I bring a well-rounded and grounded approach to therapy.
I provide anxiety therapy, depression treatment, trauma therapy, and ADHD support for adults, teens, and children. I also support clients navigating grief, life transitions, adjustment disorders, and challenges related to neurodiversity. Whether you're looking for a child therapist, teen counseling, or adult therapy, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered.
My approach is relationship-centered and strengths-based, using evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Emotional Efficacy Therapy. I personalize each session to meet your unique needs and goals—because effective mental health treatment is never one-size-fits-all.
As a therapist, I work collaboratively with clients to better understand what may be holding them back, develop practical coping skills, and build on their existing strengths. My goal is to help you create lasting, meaningful change in your life.
I invite you to take that first step. Finding the right therapist can make all the difference. Hope and healing are possible, and I would be honored to be part of your journey.
"If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change." - Dr. Wayne Dyer
