Francesca Vitale, MSN, APRN, FNP-C | Flint Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
I understand that seeking mental health care can feel overwhelming. Whether you're experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, mood changes, or simply feeling like life has become difficult to navigate, taking that first step takes courage. I'm Francesca Vitale, and I provide psychiatric medication management care in Flint, MI, and online throughout Michigan — a safe, welcoming environment where you feel comfortable, respected, and genuinely heard.
Education & Credentials
Throughout my career as a Family Nurse Practitioner, I developed a deep passion for mental health care. Caring for patients through some of life's most challenging moments reinforced my belief that mental and physical health are deeply connected. That passion inspired me to expand my education through advanced psychiatric training at Saginaw Valley State University, deepening my knowledge of psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, medication management, and evidence-based treatment. I hold an MSN and APRN credential and am board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C).
Who I Treat
I work with preteens, teens, adults, and families experiencing:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Behavioral issues
- Mood changes
- The emotional impact of chronic illness, grief, trauma, stress, and major life changes
- Medication management needs
My Approach
My experience includes primary care, post-acute care, hospice, and palliative medicine. Working with patients through different stages of illness, recovery, and life has given me a unique perspective on treating the whole person. I've seen firsthand how chronic illness, grief, trauma, stress, and major life changes can affect emotional well-being. As a Family Nurse Practitioner with advanced psychiatric training, I bring this whole-person perspective to mental health care and strive to provide compassionate, collaborative support.
Whether this is your first experience seeking mental health care or you're continuing a journey you've already begun, I consider it a privilege to be part of your story. I hope that you leave feeling heard, supported, and empowered to take the next step toward a healthier, more fulfilling life.
