I have been working in the education system for twenty years. During that time, I have learned that most children and adolescents just want to be heard. With all of the pressures and expectations put on children and adolescents today, they need a safe space to talk about what is going on in their homes, schools, neighborhoods and inside their heads.
In therapy sessions, I give children and adolescents the opportunity to express how they feel and let them know that what they think is extremely important. I work with clients that are struggling with: anxiety, ADHD, anger issues, ODD, depression, relationship issues and LGBTQ+ population.
By using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I help clients identify triggers, build on current and learn new coping skills and work through the issues they are struggling with.
