I received my bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Ferris State University and my master’s degree in Social Worker at Wayne State University with a certification in School Social Work. I have worked in public health, mental health, residential care, and currently I am a full-time School Social Worker. Throughout my professional career, I have trained in cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT, emotional regulation & management, trauma, stress related issues, meditation/breath work, family conflict, adjustment issues, anxiety and depression.
I have experience working with children who may find it difficult to vocalize/manage their emotions, teens feeling overwhelmed with feelings/thoughts that they cannot express, and individuals that just need help navigating daily life struggles. When I am providing therapy to clients I utilize a number of different skills to best fit the client’s needs. I believe in a person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and solution-focused approach.
