I graduated from Oakland University with my bachelor’s in sociology and anthropology with a minor in psychology in 2006. I continued at Oakland University and graduated in 2008 with a Master of Arts in Counseling.
I am currently a limited licensed professional counselor. I specialize in working with children in many different areas including ADHD, dyslexia, executive functioning, autism, anxiety, bullying, and more. I also have experience working with adults struggling with anxiety and depression. I have worked in school and clinical settings, and even spent time working at an equine assisted therapy program with terminally and chronically ill children and their families.
My goal is to create a comfortable and safe place for my clients to empower themselves though therapy. I want to help clients develop better coping strategies, manage their anxiety, navigate transitions in life, and improve communications skills and relationships. My philosophy of practice includes integrating concepts of person-centered therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy, and cognitive-behavioral therapy. I believe a strong client/therapist relationship can help achieve goals and I look forward to assisting with that journey.
Thank you!
