I graduated with my Masters of Mental Health Counseling from the University of the Southwest (Hobbs, NM). I have therapeutic experience working with individuals ages 11 and up with a focus on mild to severe anxiety, panic disorder, trauma, grief and life transitions. I also have experience working with parents reporting postpartum anxiety and/or depressive symptoms.
During my years of experience, I have strengthened my use of different modalities to tailor my therapy to each unique individual. I partner with adults and teens who feel stuck in depression, anger, shame or guilt. I use person-centered, experiential and cognitive behavioral approaches based on client preferences and seek out feedback regularly.
I have completed post-graduate training in trauma-informed therapy drawing from somatic, experiential, cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavior skills. I offer a strength-based approach to build upon what is already working for my clients. My goal in therapy is to find the right combination of goal-setting, pacing, coping solutions and evidence based practices to help clients discover and meet their mental health goals.
