I hold both a BA in Psychology and an MA in Counseling from Oakland University. I have worked in outpatient therapy settings since I began as an intern. I work with a variety of concerns and have experience working with individuals ages 10 and up. I also have experience in providing family education on a variety of topics.
I have specialized training in working with Autism Spectrum Disorder, providing LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy, and in providing Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I have taught classes and run groups that have focused on sexual health, relationships and social skills, and employability skills. I have also presented at conferences on the topics of LGBTQIA+ affirmative practices, and using games to teach social skills to adolescents and adults.
I strive to provide my clients with a safe space where they are able to openly explore their concerns. I use a person-centered approach to therapy, working with each client to identify their needs and goals for therapy.
