Since childhood, I have always had a propensity toward helping others. I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at University of Michigan – Flint and earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Michigan School of Psychology in 2020. During my graduate studies I completed my practicum internship working in the Flint area doing group therapy at New Oakland Family Centers. It is at this internship that I began to work with individuals of all age groups who were experiencing complex mental health difficulties. Throughout my studies I maintained employment with Delta Family Clinic since 2015, working in the role of lead psychometrist and office manager. I now continue to work under the supervision of my former Clinical Director, Dr. Gerard Williams. I practiced for roughly three years at Delta Family Clinic before joining Giesken Counseling Services.
Through this work I have been able to indulge in my passion of providing mental health services to those in need. I have experience working with individuals from all walks of life and various age groups who are experiencing different mental health difficulties including; depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship difficulties, interpersonal conflict, academic difficulties and more. I believe that each individual is unique in their experience and that the treatment process should be reflective of this. I will work with you to tailor your treatment plan to yield the highest level of success.
Individuals I have worked with describe me as outgoing, empathetic, easy to talk to, friendly, compassionate, and effective. I believe that with my experience, education, and training, that I will be a welcome companion to walk alongside you on your path to wellness.
