I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work from University of Michigan and then my Master of
Social Work from Michigan State University with an evidence-based trauma treatment
I have experience working with various populations and individuals including but not limited to: victims of violent crimes, PTSD, substance abuse/use, crisis intervention, partial hospitalization programs, domestic violence, various forms of abuse, foster care/adoption, grief/loss, depression/anxiety and other mental health conditions, and relationship issues.
I am able to help individuals who have experienced or are currently experiencing any of the above situations. I advocate for mental health awareness, education and self-care through promoting wellness, safety, confidentiality and mindfulness into every day and with my treatment.
As a social worker I believe in a person-centered approach and I tailor my therapeutic modalities to the specific needs of each individual. I believe people are the experts of their own lives and their experiences. I have been trained in and continue to use Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE), Play Therapy (for children/pre-teens), Art Therapy and traditional talk therapy. I continue to seek knowledge and training opportunities to offer a well-rounded treatment approach to many individuals and meet their needs. I strongly believe curiosity is the catalyst for change and this is what drives my thirst for knowledge and opportunity
